Lukoil to start sea operations at the Filanovsky deposit in May

Lukoil will start sea operations to mount a drilling platform at the Filanovsky deposit in the Caspian Sea from May, 12, the company’s Head Vagit Alekperov reported to journalists on Tuesday.

“All marine operations at the Filanovsky deposit are supposed to be carried out from May 12 till October 31. I hope, this period all sub structures will be transported to the Caspian Sea’s water area and installed there. I see, topsides have been started to be made already,” – the company’s Head said during his visit to the shipbuilding plant Krasnye barrikady in the Astrakhan region, where elements of drilling platforms for Lukoil are constructed, the RIA Novosti reports.
