Dagestan to engage in geological exploration in the Caspian Sea together with Rosneft, Lukoil and Gazprom

Dagestan’s government intends to start geological exploration to develop the hydrocarbon resources at the Russian sector of the Caspian shelf that borders upon Dagestan,the subsequent reproduction of oil and gas reserves and their processing, the Dagestan’s president Ramazan Abdulatipov reported to the republic’s parliament.

“It’s necessary to activate geological exploration together with large Russian companies,including Rosneft, Lukoil and Gazprom to develop the hydrocarbon resources at the Russian sector of the Caspian shelf that borders upon Dagestan, subsequent reproduction of oil and gas reserves and their processing. We have agreements with these companies’ management. The government must coordinate and submit a certain plan of cooperation with these companies,” – Abdulatipov said.
