Surgutneftegas might become Rosneft’s investor – experts

Rosneft is to hold the privatization of 19.5% of its shares.

In the framework of the coming transfer of shares Rosneft is negotiating with the foreign and domestic investors, Vedomosti reports. The President of the company, I. Sechin, said that the Government had approved the price of about $8.12 per share. So 19.5% of shares will cost $16.5 bln.

Experts think Surgutneftegas is the most probable investor from the Russian companies for Rosneft. However, it is not clear as yet if Surgutneftegas is interested in such a deal. Moreover, the owners of the company are not released. That means it can be a non-market agreement.

Moreover, the Chinese and Indian investors were interested in Rosneft’s shares.
