Medvedev: Problem of gas transit through the Ukraine solved temporarily

According to him, the Ukraine has to repay $3.1 billion of $5.3 billion of the debt, aforementioned by Gazprom, before the end of the year. In addition, it will have to buy extra gas volumes for this winter.
"The problem of the gas transit through the Ukraine - admittedly, the problem, arisen not today – hasn’t disappeared from the agenda. Today the gas issue is resolved only temporarily," - Medvedev wrote in his article, which was published by the Nezavisimaya Gazeta on Monday.
