Shell has discovered hydrocarbons near Vorkuta

“Shell NefteGas Development (2)” Ltd, affiliate of Shell, has discovered hydrocarbons at the site near Vorkuta but plans to extract them only at the deposit in Inta, the Minister of Industrial Development and Transport of Komi, A. Samodelkin, said.
“The company searched and held seismic exploration which turned out to be quite good and we think there are hydrocarbons raw materials. But today due to those various external factors (sanctions) the company carefully enters the region. The Vorkuta hydrocarbons are in the perspective”, the Minister said.
