Russia has suggested to build a pipeline to Japan

Russia has suggested to Japan that they build a pipeline that would connect the Russian Far Eastern deposits with Northern Japan, Reuters reports referring to Nikkei. The construction of the gas pipeline has been discussed for several dozen years. It can face a number of obstacles including those connected with the arguments about the islands the Soviet Army captured in the Second World War.

The representative of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan engaged with oil and gas issues rejects the news about the receiving of the offer from Russia by Tokyo.
