In January-August 2015, import of polyvinylchloride in Russia fell 4 times, export grew 12 times

By results of the first eight months of this year, imports of suspension polyvinylchloride in Russia decreased 4 times and amounted to 47.3 thousand tons. At the same time, the export sales of resins increased 12 times to 27.1 thousand tons, according Market Report.

For the period of the planned stops for maintenance of Russian polyvinylchloride producers (Sayanskkhimplast and Bashkir soda company stopped their facilities), local companies have significantly increased the volume of imports. Last month, the external supply of the slurry grew to 24.2 thousand tons against 11.7 thousand tons in the previous month due to a significant growth in imports of polyvinylchloride from China and the United States.
