Loading of the second tanker with oil from the Prirazlom field starts

In the coming days, the tanker with ARCO oil will travel to north-western Europe. The first tanker with oil, produced at the Prirazlom field, travelled from the field in April of this year.
Before the end of the year, two more tankers will take about one million barrels of oil from the Prirazlom field. On the whole, in the first year of the field development, about 2.2 million barrels of oil (300 thousand tons) will be produced at it.
The Prirazlom field is the first project in the world on oil production on the Arctic shelf from a stationary platform. The extraction under the pilot operation began in December, 2013.
