The Ukraine might be short of gas and coal this winter

The Ukraine might be short of gas and coal in winter, according to a leader of the social movement “Ukrainsky vybor” V.Medvedchuk.

“The Cabinet of Ministers keeps insisting on the necessity of the saving of gas. They are about to replace gas partially by coal. But, the delay in the forming of an administrative-territorial unit the coal supply from Donbas was reduced. The state-run enterprise “Ugol Ukrainy” owes over 282 million grivna to the Donetsk railroad for transportation of cargo. If the Government does not take any measures, the Ukraine may be short of coal and gas,” Medvedchuk said.
