Russian Ministry of Natural Resources to discuss possibility to decrease once-only payment for subsoil use

The Russian Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology is discussing the decrease of the once-only payments for subsoil area or the granting of installments, the Deputy Head of the Ministry’s Department of State Policy and Management in Geology and Subsoil Use Alexei Danilov reported.

“Today the coordination of the stand not only concerning expenses deduction from MET, but also a decrease (or installment) of once-only payment take splace,” – the Ministry’s press centre cites the Danilov’s speech at the meeting of the Canadian business association in Russia and Eurasia in Montreal.

According to Danilov, the Ministry also proposes to use so-called “declarative principle”, in accordance with which a subsoil user would receive an interested subsoil area with minimal time and administrative expenses.
