Gazprom loses its profit even against the background of growth of export to Europe

In the first six months of 2013, Gazprom, in spite of the growth of gas supplies to Europe, has decreased its net profit by more than a third. The main reason of this decrease became exchange rate differences, MET costs and an increase of gas prime cost, as well as a dramatic, almost 40% fall of supplies to the Ukraine. At the same time Gazprom helped to improve rates of one of its main European consumers – the German RWE - with its retroactive payments. However, Gazprom will return a part of funds, reserved for this.
