Igor Rotenberg becomes partner of GeoProMining in project of plant in Degtyarsk

The businessman Igor Rotenberg, son of Arkady Rotenberg, has become an investor in the project of a plant for antimony production in the Sverdlovsk region with Siman Povarenkin’s GeoProMining. The enterprise with capacity of over 6 thousand tons of antimony per year plans to displace imports of metal from Russia and the CIS states. But, for example, Norilsk Nickel, which owns a large antimony deposit in the Trans-Baikal region, considers this business is low-margin.

In late 2014, owner of NPV Engineering and co-owner of Gazprom drilling, TEK Mosenergo, SCC Real Estate and other assets Igor Rotenberg, the eldest son of Arkady Rotenberg, received a 50% stake in National antimony company (NSK), which implements the project of the plant for the production of antimony trioxide in Degtyarsk of the Sverdlovsk region, the Interfax reported yesterday, referred to the data of SPARK. According to SPARC, until the middle of November of 2014, 100% of NSK were owned by GPM Khimresurs, 98% of the shares of which, in turn, are owned by Grinprodzhekt, co-owners of whuch are head of the GeoProMining’s Board Siman Povarenkin and its CEO Roman Khudoliy. Since November 17, Grinprodzhekt received 49.96% of shares in NSK, transferred 119.9 million rubles in its authorized capital, and Igor Rotenberg - 50% of the shares, transferred 120 million rubles.
