Rosneft expects to obtain access to gas transportation system of Sakhalin-2 in the volume of up to 8 billion cubic meters per year

Rosneft expects to obtain access to the gas transmission system of the Sakhalin-2 project in the volume of up to 8 billion cubic meters per year, the materials of the commercial court of the Sakhalin region of Rosneft’s suit against Sakhalin Energy (operator of the Sakhalin-2 project) show.

Rosneft requires Sakhalin Energy to provide access to the available of the main gas pipeline of the Sakhalin-2 project (TransSakhalin pipeline system) by giving the plaintiff the specifications and point of connection to the Sakhalin-2’s gas transportation system for transportation of natural gas in the volume of up to 8 billion cubic meters per year from JOPF Lunskoye to branch to the LNG plant near the village of Ilinskoe. According to the court, Rosneft sent requests on this matter to Sakhalin Energy on October 21st and November 1th4, 2013 and February 24th, 2014.
