Sri Lanka to invite oil companies of Bashkortostan to develop its new fields

Sri Lanka has invited specialists of the Bashkir oil industry for development of new oil and gas fields, recently discovered in the republic, the Extraordinary Ambassador of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka in Russia Udayang Weeratung reported to journalists on Friday.

“Your republic (Bashkortostan) is known for its oil industry, which is highly developed. Eight oil and gas fields have been discovered in our country (Shi Lanka). We want your specialists and companies to participate in the development of these fields. We can reach a significant progress with the experience and capabilities of your specialists,"- Weeratung said to journalists after the official meeting with the Head of Bashkortostan.
