Taneco stops to produce dark oil products

​The oil refinery plant plans to start the delayed coking unit in summer.

In the summer 2016 Taneco plans to start a delayed coking unit.

In 2017 after the completion of the necessary works, it is planned to produce up to 48% of diesel fuel and medium distillates, about 17% of gasoline and about 8% of jet fuel out of the total volume.

On May 25th the Board of Tatneft approved the deal on the transfer of a delayed coking unit to Taneco.

The unit itself and an area of 42 thousand sq m will be transferred to Taneco. The value of the deal is 11.624 bln roubles. Tatneft is to transfer the unit not later than on July 10th.

Currently the start-up and commissioning works are held at the unit. Its capacity of raw materials processing will make up 2 mln tons a year.

Unstable coking naphtha, heavy and light coking gasoil, acid hydrocarbon gas and oil coke (will be used at the Nizhnekamsk thermal power plant) will be produce at the unit.
