Sberbank demands $11.7 bln from Mechel’s affiliates

The claim will be considered in late June.

The Arbitration Court of Moscow on July 26th will consider the claim of Sberbank on the collection of $11.7 mln from Mechel and its affiliates.

The court postponed the consideration of the case due to the amicable agreement which was planned to be signed by the parties.

Initially the claimed amount made up $6.6 mln. Later the bank increased the amount. The claim was filed in May 2015, however, as there is a foreign company among the respondents, the court postponed the hearings for its notification.

The respondents in this case are MechelTrading AG, Mechel, Mechel-Trans, BZF, Mechel-Service and Chelyabinsk metallurgical plant.
