The French suspend negotiations on gas supply to the Ukraine

The French energy company GDF-Suez has suspended negotiations with Kiev on the supplies of reverse gas. There is no decision on participation of the company in supplies of reverse “blue fuel” to the Ukraine, GDF-Suez’s vice president Jean-Francois Sirelli informed.

A representative of the company stated at the conference “Energy Dialogue of Russia and the EU: Gas Aspects”, which takes place in Brussels, that GDF-Suez was ready to supply gas to the Ukraine only in case if it would receive a profitable proposal and only in case of a surplus of fuel after its sale to the company’s main customers. The company doesn’t intend to grant a respite to Kiev, Sirelli gave to understand.
