The Ukraine has stated gas loading into its underground gas storage facilities, GSE reports.

The loading started on April 11th and within 3 days Naftogas loaded 71.84 mln cubic m of gas into the underground gas storage facilities.

As of April 10th, 7.6 bln cubic m remained at the underground gas storage facilities.

The Ukraine started to use gas from its underground storage facilities on October 20th 2014. As of the beginning of the heating season there were 16.7 bln cubic m of gas at the Ukraine’s underground storage facilities.

Gas reserves at the Ukraine’s underground storage facilities are provided stable supply of the Russian gas at the necessary  volumes to Europe: the rise of gas collection in the East is compensated by gas use from the underground storage facilities in the West.
