In 2013, ALROSA decreased its net profit under IAS by 5%

On the results of 2013, the ALROSA’s net profit under IAS decreased by 5% as compared with the previous year to 31.8 billion rubles, the company reports.

The reduction of the profit in this period was connected with the loss from currency difference due to the revaluation of a part of the company’s credit portfolio, denominated in foreign currency, because of the depreciation of the ruble in 2013.

In the reporting period, EBITDA grew by 12% to 69.1 billion rubles mainly due to increase of the total profit from diamonds sale, the EBITDA margin made up 41%.
