Specialists of TNK-BP look for the ways to deal with viscous oil

The era of “light” oil production is coming to the end thus setting new goals for the leading oil and gas production companies, such as the development of deposits with difficult to extract reserves. To them it refers to the deposits with viscous and bituminous oil, the total volume of which in the world is almost 5 times higher than the volume of the remained oil reserves of low and medium viscosity. Canada has the largest reserves – 522.5 bln tons and Venezuela – 177.9 bln tons.
