Izhora pipe plant has assembled equipment for pipe intermediates correction

The Izhora pipe plant specializing in large diameter pipes production from strips made by the Cherepovets metal combine (both are members of Severstal Russian Steel) has assembled the finishing press, the equipment for pipe intermediates correction. The new equipment will make pipes with a smaller diameter and larger wall thickness, including for the offshore part of the South Stream gas pipeline for Gazprom. The length of underwater division of the pipeline is 900 km at depth of over 2,000 m via the Black Sea bottom from Russia to Bulgaria.
