Russia softens requirements for the Ukraine

Russia has softened its requirements towards the Ukraine. It reduced the first tranche of the debt from $2 billion to $1.454 billion. The Ukraine, in turn, reduced the application for gas supply in winter time from 5 to 4 billion cubic meters, the head of the Ministry of Energy, A.Novak said.

“Our last proposal is to redeem the debt for November-December 2013 at $1.454 billion before the gas supply starts,” Novak said.
