Gazprom is pumping 700 million m3 of gas into underground gas storage facilities of Hungary.

In anticipation of the future heating season Gazprom will trasfer 700 million m3 of gas into the underground storages (UGS) of Hungary to reduce the risks to gas transit through the Ukraine in the coming winter.

Currently 135 million m3 of fuel has already been uploaded.

Currently there are 4.162 billion m3 of gas in the UGS of the country – that is 67.46% of their maximum capacity. This is the lowest index in Europe.

Nevertheless, it is much greater than the level of 2013 on the same date - 2.8 billion m3.

The deal with Gazprom will bring the fullness of storage up to 77%.
