Mine Erunakovskaya-VIII produces the first million tons of coal

The first million ton of coal was produced at the mine Erunakovskaya-VIII of the company Yuzhkuzbassugol (a part of Evraz) from February of 2013, and about 8 km of mine opening were passed.

Coke coal of the valuable grade GZh was mined from complex-mechanized longwall №48-2. The daily production at the mine is 5.7 thousand tons of coal.

According to the Director of the mine Erunakovskaya-VIII, Sergei Frank, the production at the mine is carried out according plan of investment project. It managed to produce the first million in such a short period of time due to long-term launch of the enterprise and well coordinated work of the staff.

Let’s recall, Evraz began the implementation of the investment project on the mine Erunakovskaya-VIII construction in 2011. The mine was launched in February of 2013.
