Smolensk “Crystal” might become part of ALROSA

They discuss merger of lapidary companies of Smolensk “Cristal” and diamond-mining ALROSA in the Government, Vedomosti states citing chief executive of “Cristal” M.Shkadov.

There might be various options. For instance capitalization support of ALROSA via introduction of the enterprises of “Cristal” in its authorized capital or introduction of diamond-producing assets of ALROSA into the capital of the Smolensk company, he said. But he did not give details on the terms and ways of increase of authorized capital.
