Lukoil’s profit grows by a third

In the first six months of 2014, Lukoil increased its net profit under RAS 1.3 times in annual terms to 203.2 billion rubles, the company reports.
The proceeds increased 1.2 times as compared to the same period of the previous year to 220.2 billion rubles, the prime cost decreased by 22.5% to 7.7 billion rubles, the profit from sales increased by 28% - from 158.5 billion to 202.5 billion rubles.
The deterioration in the company's image on overseas markets after the imposition of Western sanctions could lead to a decline in retail sales in the short term, the company’s accounting notes.
