Vankorneft starts drilling the first production well at the Suzunskoye field

Within the current drilling program Rosneft’s subsidiary Vankorneft has started drilling the first production well at the Suzunskoye field of the Vankor group at well pad №7. It’s planned to drill three new production wells at the Suzunskoye field before the end of the year, and to begin drilling at the Tagulskoye and Lodochnoye fields. Prerequisites for the start of the drilling were successful results of previous exploration works, the company’s press centre writes.

Vankorneft continues to implement the program of the drilling of exploratory wells at the Gorchinsky, Tagulsky and East-Pendomayakhsky sites. The overall plan of penetration by exploration drilling in 2014 is more than 22 thousand meters. In 2015-2019, program of exploration works provides for exploratory drilling of over 35 wells with a total sinking of more than 135 thousand meters.
