ChTPZ dispatches almost 2 thousand tons of pipes for Southern Corridor

The shop "Vysota 239" of the Chelyabinsk pipe plant has dispatched 1828 tons of large diameter pipes (LDP) with a polypropylene anticorrosion coating and thickness of 6 mm, intended for the first stage of the Southern Corridor gas pipeline, to Gazprom. A part of the shipment were 1420 mm diameter pipes, and other part - 720 mm diameter pipes.

The polypropylene coating protects pipes in extreme conditions during laying of a pipeline under the sea, during directional drilling and the temperature of operation up to 110o C.
- Production of polypropylene coated LDP in the shop "Vysota 239" is certified by the standards of Gazprom and Transneft. Over the past six months, metallurgists upgraded the coating line, increased the productivity and expanded the range of products, - ChTPZ’s general director, Vitaly Sadykov comments on. – Taking into account the challenging condition of production and transportation of hydrocarbons, such products with high performances is becoming more and more popular.
