NLMK Group has confirmed the status of a certified supplier of transformer steel for ABB concern

NLMK Group ships transformed rolled products from the sites in Lipetsk and Yekaterinburg to the plant of ABB in Europe, Asia and NAFTA countries.

NLMK Group has been given a status of a qualified supplier of transformer steel produced by Visa Steel (Yekaterinburg) by Swiss-Swedish energy car manufacturing concern ABB.

The status was given on the results of a complex audit of technological processes and quality management system held by ABB.

A cold rolling shop of Visa Steel and a laboratory of magnetic measurements were visited by the specialists of ABB.

NLMK Group is the only producer of transformer steel in Russia. The stake of the company in the world market is 11%. ABB highly assessed the continual perfection of technologies, systematic approach to the issues of quality control of products, confirmed the intention to expand the cooperation in the sphere of supplies of transformer rolled products, the Vice-President for sales of NLMK Group, I. Guschin, said.
