Nickel plant is stopping down

One of the five workshops of the Nickel plant (part of Zapolyarny branch of Norilsk Nickel), sintering workshop, shuts down in Norilsk city (Krasnoyarsk region). Termination of operation is in accordance with the complex programme on closing down of old-fashioned equipment and transfer of the raw materials to other sites. Nickel plant has worked since 1942. It is located within the city boundaries and has a negative impact on the environment.
