Gazprom is looking for resource base for expansion of LNG-plant of Sakhalin-2

​As a resource base for the expansion of an LNG-plant of Sakhalin -2 Gazprom considers its own deposits and gas from Sakhalin-1, the deputy chairman of the company, A. Medvedev, said.

The thing is that feed is held by the schedule and a few variants are considered as a source, including the gas from the Kirinsky and South-Kirinsky deposits, another source is gas from Sakhalin-1 where we keep negotiating upon an opportunity of gas purchase, he said.

Speaking about the resource base of Sakhalin-2, unfortunately, there is not sufficient gas. Moreover, in a while it will be necessary to fill the resource base of Sakhalin-2 so as to keep the production level of 10 mln tons, he added.
