UC Rusal will invest over $5.5 million to innovation rolled wire production

UC Rusal will invest over $5.5 million to innovation aluminum and zirconium rolled wire production. The first samples of this high-tech product have been attested by the consumers. Production will be performed by the Irkutsk aluminum plant. The total investment into research and development and to equipment for the production and thermal treatment of the wire will be over $5.5 million. Now they have developed the technology of rolled wire production, and attested it by the leading producers of cable and conductor goods. They have closed the contract for supplies of electric thermal equipment at the Irkutsk aluminum plant. In accordance with the contract terms, equipment will be supplied in September 2014, and the site will reach the projected results in the beginning of 2015. After installation of the complex for thermal treatment, the capacities of the Irkutsk aluminum plant will produce up to 3,000 tons of rolled wire a year
