In May 2016 OJSC "NK "Rosneft" is going to resume production at the Angarsk polymer plant where at the beginning of February there was a failure on the production of ethylene and propylene. As the Vice-President of JSC "NK "Rosneft" Aleksandr Romanov told "MK Baikal" on Friday, March 11, the company's specialists had already established that the cause of the incident had been the failure of the main unit on the installation – pipe compressor pyrolysis, which has no reserve.
"As a result, the pipe compressor lost a steam turbine. Replacing it is quite difficult technically, - Aleksandr Romanov stated. - There is only one such unit, in Salavat".
