Severstal will supply 160,000 tons of pipes for construction of the second branch of South Stream

Severstal will supply 160,000 tons of pipes with the diameter of 813 mm made by Izhora pipe plant CJSC for construction of the second branch of South Stream. The plant is a subsidiary of Severstal Russian Steel.

The CEO of Severstal Russian Steel ,S. Toropov says that the effective investment activity aimed at the development of the production and technological potential of the company and the ability to use their own capacities at all production stages from steel smelting up to ready goods production have enabled the company to participate in supplies for both first and second stages of the pipeline. Now Severstal Russian Steel continues active preparative work that will provide fulfillment of high demands of the project and guarantees quality and well-timed execution of the set tasks.
