Shale gas might be discovered in the South and Central part of Kazakhstan, expert

The perspectives of the discovery of the shale gas in Kazakhstan are present in the South and Central parts of Kazakhstan, chief technologist for production in Saudi Arabia, member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers of Saudi Arabia, A. Bulekbai thinks.
The possible perspective areas might be the Almaty region (South of Kazakhstan) – the Kenego-tekeskiy and Zharkentsky blocks. There are also perspectives of the large shale gas deposits’ discovery in the Karaganda region (Central Kazakhstan), Mr. Bulekbai said.
