In 2014, Russian gas export is likely to decline to a ten-year low against the background of slowdown in its consumption in Europe and the Ukraine. In particular, last year the Ukraine reduced imports of gas from Russia by 44% to 14.5 billion cubic meters. This was the minimum level of the supply by Gazprom and its subsidiaries, at least since 1999, writes the Bloomberg.

Thus, in 2014, the Gazprom’s supplies to the European Union (EU), Turkey and the CIS countries didn’t exceed, according to UBS, 195 billion cubic meters. This is by 10% less than in 2013.
