Gazprom carries out a large-scale reconstruction of unified gas supply system’s facilities in the Volga federal district, the company reports by results of the meeting of its CEO Alexei Miller and the presidential plenipotentiary in the Volga federal district Mikhail Babich.

The parties noted strategic character of the partnership between Gazprom and the Volga federal district. Very important main gas pipelines of the unified gas supply system are located in the region – their length exceeds 49 thousand km, as well as 12 underground gas storages (on the whole, Russia has 22 storages). Gazprom’s investments in the region are mainly connected with reconstruction of these main gas pipelines and underground gas storages. In the current year, they made up 41.5 billion rubles. In particular, the funds were invested into reconstruction of the main gas pipelines Minnibaevo-Kazan, Okhansk-Kirov, Perm-Gorky 1, Saratov-Gorky, Urengoy – Novopskov, as well as a compressor station Torbeevskaya.
