"Gazprom" keeps 50% of Nord Stream 2.

The company keeps the control over Nord Stream-2, having sold 1% to Engie.

"Gazprom" has decided to reduce its stake in the future gas pipeline Nord Stream-2 to 50%, having sold 1% to the French Engie. The share of Engie increased to 10%, equaling the shares of other European participants. According to "the Kommersant", the transaction will not lead to loss of control of "Gazprom" over Nord Stream-2. According to analysts, such a loss of control would not help "Gazprom" in obtaining permits from the European Commission for the construction of land extensions of Nord Stream-2 in the EU.
