The development of the Bering Coal Basin is planned in Chukotka.

After a detailed study of the investment project on the development of the Bering Coal Basin, it could be submitted to the RF Ministry for the dDvelopment of Far East (hereinafter - Minvostokrazvitiya) as a territory of the rapid development (hereinafter - TRD), Roman Kopin, the governor of the Chukotka Autonomous District, stated during a meeting with the leadership of the Australian company Tigers Realm Coal (TIG).

Today we can say about the probability of such a prospect, according to the governor, in spite of a difficult time for the project, according to a press release from the government of the region.

"The development of coking coal deposit in the North Ammaame is considered by us as a promising direction. It fits into the concept of priority development areas, and we believe that after a detailed study of the project, it will be presented to Minvostokrazvitiya as another TRD in Chukotka", - Roman Kopin stated.
