Astana and Seoul come to an agreement on joint production of rare-earth metals in Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan will produce rare-earth metals on its territory together with South Korea, the President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev said on Thursday.

“We will produce rare-earth metals together with Korean companies in exchange for the newest technologies. The technologies and industry of South Korea are cutting-edge,” – Nazarbayev said summarizing the results of negotiations with the President of South Korea in Astana.

Nazarbayev noted that on the whole Kazakh-Korean relations were developing stably. “We highly value the results of the negotiations,” – he said.
