Odessa and Feodosiya ports to specialize in oil transshipment

Cabinet Council specified the specialization of Ukrainian sea ports. Odessa and Feodosiya ports will specialize in oil transshipment due to the regulation №548-r of July 11, 2013 “Of approval of the development strategies of Ukrainian sea ports up to 2038”, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
Specialization of the sea ports in compliance with the main cargo classification proceeding from the market conjuncture is determined taking into account the following criteria: specific weight of cargo handling, spatial juxtaposition of the sea port and the raw material base and production, limitation of existing infrastructure and availability of prospective territories for the sea port development as well as optimality of loading connection.
