KazMunaiGas and ConocoPhillips to conclude a deal on Kashagan before the end of this year

The Kazakh Minister of Oil and Gas, Uzakbai Karabalin has voiced his expectations on the acquisition of the ConocoPhillips’ share in the Northern-Caspian project by the state company KazMunaiGas; according to him, the deal will be concluded by the end of this year.
“The two business entities are engaged in this process now. Today they negotiate. I hope (the deal will be concluded) before the end of the year,” – he said to the agency Interfax Kazakhstan in Astana on Tuesday.
