First coke has been produced at Taneco

​The first lot of coke has been produced at the Taneco oil refinery plant. with the equipment reaching its project capacity, Taneco will terminate the output of dark oil products, the temporary acting head of Tatarstan, R. Minnikhanov, said.

Last week Taneco produced the first lot of coke at the delayed coking unit, he said. It shows the duly execution of obligations by Tatneft in the framework of the signed agreement on modernization of oil processing capacities and putting new capacities on oil processing into operation, he said.

On July 4th 2016 Tatneft launched a delayed coking unit at Taneco which will allow to increase oil processing efficiency from 73 to 95%. The produced at the unit coke will be used for electric energy generation at the Nizhnekamsk thermal power plant. The CEO of Tatneft, N. Maganov, said that the delayed coking unit will allow to form the waste-free production cycle from oil extraction to energy generation.
