First stage of railroad construction to Bystrinsky GOK is over in Trans-Baikal region

The traffic by the cross-over of A-166 route Chita-Zabaikalsk in the Borozinsky district is now officially open in the framework of the completion of the first stage of construction of the railway Naryn-Lugokan that leads to the Bystrinsky GOK (project of Norilsk Nickel), Government of the Trans-Baikal region reports.

“When 3 years ago the traffic was open, the road stayed without the full execution of normative-legal requirements. Now we can say that the cross-over is absolutely safe for traffic. This is the first step for the start of development of deposits in the south-east of the Trans-Baikal region. Now cargo necessary for the construction of the Bystrinsky GOK can be shipped by railway, and that can’t but result in the acceleration of construction rates of the plant”, first Vice-Prime Minister of the Trans-Baikal region, A. Shemetov, says.
