The Ukraine is eager to build a new oil refinery with Azerbaijan and to participate in hydrocarbon transport projects

The Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of the Ukraine, E. Stavitsky has met with his Azeri colleague N. Aliyev and discussed possible construction of a new oil refinery for oil processing from Azerbaijan.

At the beginning of 1990-s, the Ukrainian oil refineries annually processed 59 million tons of oil. Since then, these volumes declined by 15 times to 4 million tons. Now actual oil refining is performed only at 2 plants of 7. The largest enterprises in Lisichany and Odessa stay idle.
