The Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of the Ukraine, E. Stavitsky has met with his Azeri colleague N. Aliyev and discussed possible construction of a new oil refinery for oil processing from Azerbaijan.
At the beginning of 1990-s, the Ukrainian oil refineries annually processed 59 million tons of oil. Since then, these volumes declined by 15 times to 4 million tons. Now actual oil refining is performed only at 2 plants of 7. The largest enterprises in Lisichany and Odessa stay idle.
