The Ukraine to load over 8 bln cubic m of gas into underground gas storages before the start of heating season

​The Ukraine plans to load 8.2 bln cubic m of gas into its underground gas storages before the start of the heating season, the Minister of Energy and Coal, I. Nasalik, said.

According to him, it is planned to purchase gas for loading in Europe, if Russia offers a competitive price and signs the respective protocol, a part of gas purchases might be held from Russia.

After the completion of the heating season the Ukraine loaded 0.4 bln cubic m of gas as of May 8th having increased the reserves to 8.84 bln cubic m (by 0.4% more than on May 8th 2015).

The Ukraine started gas collection from its underground gas storages on October 30th 2015 when it had 17.06 bln cubic m of gas and ended on April 6th with the reserves of 8.45 bln cubic m.
