By results of January-April, Ukrainian pipe enterprises reduced their production by 16.1%

In January- April of 2014, the main pipe enterprises of the Ukraine reduced the production of pipes of ferrous metals, according to operational data, by 16.1% as compared with the same period in 2013 to 477 thousand tons.\According to a source in the government, in the April the production of pipes was 140.6 thousand tons, increased by 3.6% as compared with the previous month.

According to him, the production of pipes at Metinvest’s Khartsyzsk pipe plant fell from 79.3 thousand tons (in January-April of 2013) to 61.4 million tons, while the average level of the pipes production at the plant usually is 30-35 thousand tons per month. At the same time, the interlocutor noted the output growth in March to 15.7 thousand tons and in April to 36.3 thousand tons, whereas in the first two months of the year only 9.4  thousand tons were produced.

He also reported that the pipes production at Interpipe NTZ fell (from 130.4 thousand tons to 110.6 thousand tons), as well as at Interpipe NMTZ (from 77.3 thousand tons to 60.8 thousand tons) and Interpipe Niko Tube (from 140.9 thousand tons to 135 thousand tons).

In addition, at Mariupol Steel n.a. Illich reduced the production of pipes from 19 thousand tons to 17.1 thousand tons.
