According to preliminary analysis, about 100 wells at Uzen and Karamandybas fields are suitable for sidetracking

Ozenmunaigas, subsidiary of Exploration Production KazMunaiGas, plans to use fishing and difficult wells rationally by using sidetracking, deputy general director of geology and development and senior geologist of Ozenmunaigas Arman Okauly reported.
He noted that previously sidetracking was considered only at producing wells.
According to him, today the company has some problems. For example, today about 500 wells stand idle for various technical reasons and over 200 wells wait for liquidation.
