Lukoil continues to construct gas-chemical cluster

On Tuesday, Lukoil’s president Vagit Alekperov and the temporary acting Governor of the Stavropol region, Vladimir Vladimirov signed an agreement on cooperation between the company and the regional government. The document provides for cooperation of the parties in implementation of investment and social projects in the Stavropol region.

Besides, Vagit Alekperov and Vladimir Vladimirov visited the construction of a gas-processing unit (GPU-1) – a component of the gas-chemical complex, which will be built at industrial site of Stavrolen (a part of Lukoil). Currently the construction of foundations is completed and installation of the main technological equipment of GPU-1 has been started. The launch of GPU-1 with capacity of 2 billion cubic meters per year is scheduled for 2015, the company’s press centre reports.
