Gazprombank could receive 40% of the Ukraine’s gas stock

Ukrainian holding company Ostchem of Dmitry Firtash and Gazprombank have reached an agreement on repayment of a loan for $840 million. Its pledge is 5.7 billion cubic meters of gas, a part of which is now in Ukrainian underground storage facilities. The parties don’t report the contents of the agreement, but analysts think it could be a transfer of the pledge or joint actions to obtain it.

The chemical holding company Ostchem of Dmitry Firtash settled with Gazprombank the issue of repayment of its debt in the amount of $842.5 million, the company reported yesterday, assured that "all disputes were settled". The bank, in turn, reported that "the parties have agreed on the format of the further cooperation to fulfill the obligations of the borrower". The parties refused to give more detailed comments. Ostchem noted only that there weren’t changes in the composition of shareholders of the company’s enterprises (the holding company includes Ukrainian concern Styrol, Azot (Cherkasy), Severodonetsk Association Azot, Rivneazot and Estonian Nitrofert and Tajikazot).
